About Us
Keys Health Ready Coalition was established in 2007 under the auspices of the Florida Department of Health in Monroe County. Since that time the Coalition has formed a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization, comprised of healthcare related organizations in Monroe County. The Coalition is funded by the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR). ASPR leads the nation’s medical and public health preparedness for, response to, and recovery from, disasters and public health emergencies. The Coalition meets every other month. Purpose
The purpose of the Coalition is to provide and enhance communication and coordinated efforts in dealing with healthcare emergency preparedness and response capabilities of hospitals and community stakeholders in Monroe County, Florida.
Goals
To provide a forum for the healthcare community to interact with one another on a county level to:
- Promote emergency preparedness in healthcare settings
- Coordinate and improve the delivery of healthcare emergency response services
- Cultivate communication between county level organizations and community-wide emergency planning and response
